- When I want to color in my lineart I usually put a layer underneath the lineart.. Then I color on that layer underneath (It comes out a big blob basically) and use the selection tool (That wand looking thing) and select OUTSIDE the light art and erase the outside of the big blob on the layer underneath the lineart.. Plus before you go and color you should make sure that you leave space for the selection to go inside or erase enough so it can go through!.. Let's say on the scruff of fur on like the animals elbow.. or calf. Things like that.
There is lots of tutorials on YouTube all about SAI. I hope you get comfortable with it. It gets easier if you learn all the tools correctly! Good luck!
